Prompted by the question of how someone remembers a moment or loved one, this work explores ritualistic behaviors of mourning and commemoration.

The light is activated by breathing or speaking into the vessel, symbolically bringing life to those memories. The lower dishes provide space to place objects, notes, or photographs.

The longer one breathes into the vessel, the brighter the vessel will become and the longer the vessel will stay lit.
